Can you come up with a broadcasting idea that combines video and online content to maximum interactive effect?
That's the question we posed to five members of the public at our ‘Crossing the Void ‘09' multiplatform forum in March. Cycling enthusiast and graphic designer/photographer, Nick Hand, was one of the two pitchers to win the prize of a £1,000 development grant and the chance to pitch his idea at the b.TWEEN multiplatform forum in June. Coming second there, he set off on his interactive bike ride on 21st June 2009, filming and recording the artisans of Britain along the way in the form of Soundslides. He aims to complete his 5,000 mile tour of Britain by October - with the help, feedback and suggestions of the visitors to his site. You can check out Nick's latest progress at www.slowcoast.co.uk.
