Lottery funding

As the UK Film Council's regional partner, we distribute funds from the National Lottery here in the South West. We want to hear from organisations and individuals based in the region who need financial support for creative film and media projects which start after 1 April 2010 and run for no more than 18 months. 

PLEASE NOTE LOTTERY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS AND WILL REOPEN IN SPRING 2010.

We will publish detailed guidelines in early 2010 on the kinds of projects we will be looking for. In the meantime, please bear in mind, we aim to focus our support on projects which can help us achieve our aims:

  • Influence opinion – to shape the decisions and policies which impact on the creative and media industries.
  • Raise awareness – we highlight the importance of the creative media industries to the economy and culture of the South West.
  • Invest in creative people – we help professionals, newcomers and young people expand their skills and horizons.
  • Provide investment - we support talent, encourage innovation and help develop new ideas.
  • Connect people – we put people, businesses and organisations in touch to enable effective training, networking and knowledge-sharing.

From April, funding will be offered under specific strands (these will broadly cover talent development, festival fund, archive and audience development).
