How to Get Your Place…
1) Multiplatform Bursaries - are you eligible?
Multiplatform Bursaries are grants for you to spend on a pre-selected range of courses covering key multiplatform skills the industry is looking for in its workforce.
The amount you can get can vary, depending on whether you're employed or work freelance.

Definition of Freelancers
Freelancers can apply for up to a maximum of £800. We consider you a freelancer if:
If you are a freelancer you may apply for up to 80% of the combined fees, travel and accommodation costs of your training to a maximum of £800. This means that if your total combined course and travel costs come to over £800, the maximum you could apply for is £800.
Definition of Employees
Employees can apply for up to a maximum of £500. We consider you an employee if:
Please note, if you are employed you may apply for up to 50% of the combined fees, travel and accommodation costs of your training to a maximum of £500. This means that if your total combined course fees and travel costs came to over £500 the maximum you can apply for is £500, however, we expect your employer to make a contribution of at least 30% of the costs of training.
The following people are not eligible for support:
Actors;
Presenters;
Those in full time education;
Non-UK residents, including international students
Training providers who are offering courses supported by Multiplatform Bursaries must follow these guidelines to identify who is eligible for support.

2) Apply to South West Screen for your workshop place
Please download and complete the application form and email it with your CV to training@swscreen.co.uk
We will notify you within 5 working days whether your application is successful. You may then apply for your Skillset bursary.
All bookings are subject to South West Screen’s Terms & Conditions of Booking.
3) Apply to Skillset for your bursary
If you have been offered a place at the workshop and you are eligible to apply for a bursary, visit Skillset’s web page and follow the instructions: www.skillset.org/multiplatformbursaries
PLEASE NOTE: As it may take up to 4 weeks for Skillset to process your application, and bursary funds are limited, we strongly recommend that you apply for your bursary as soon as possible.
