Toronto Film Festival

The Toronto Film Festival is seen as one of the best Film Festivals in the World. The festival is not only aimed at feature film production but also feature documentary, TV drama, animation and natural history producers with projects that need co-production partners and wishing to form production partnerships with Canadian companies. Toronto has always operated as an unofficial Film Market with hundreds of sales agents and broadcasters attending the Festival to seek projects.

South West Screen supported 3 South West companies to attend this market by providing financial assistance towards delegate fees, mentoring support and by hosting introduction meetings and setting up 1-2-1 meetings with industry professionals during the festival.

South West Screen is continuing to work with a number of Canadian partner organisations to create co-production networking opportunities with Canadian Broadcasters and Companies looking to Co-Produce with UK based Producers. Working with UKT&I and media development organisations in Canada.
