Creative Ideas
South West Screen is pleased to announce that the following projects have received awards through our Creative Ideas Lottery scheme;
- Bristol Museums, Galleries and Archives - Mariele Neudecker Egypt Project, a commission of an interactive moving image piece within the Egypt part of the gallery.
- Whirlwind Media Ltd - The Bargains, an 8 minute dance screen work to develop new ways of working.
- Sean Borodale and Louise Fairclough - Bring in Daylight, a lyrical 20 minute documentary exploring through film and sound the shared stories of a farming community at Taunton Cattle Market which is due to close soon.
- Rik Lander - u-soap, a research proposal for an investigation into online narrative storytelling based on user generated content.
- Firstborn Creatives - Screen 2 Screen, research into the idea of mixing a short film for cinema with mobile technology to create an interactive participatory event.
The fund was available to support creative production proposals from individuals or organisations based in the South West, particularly projects which explored approaches which in some way challenge the conventions of narrative storytelling.
The deadline for this scheme has now passed.
