South West Screen is offering an industry-backed Post Graduate Bursary Fund. Three awards will be made, each of £3,000. The aim is to provide financial support to talented and highly motivated students, for whom the cost of continuing studies might provide a barrier to taking up a post graduate level vocational course.

A panel of senior industry members will select the three lucky award winners. Talent, motivation and a well thought out career path are the main criteria. Applicants must be looking to attend a post graduate course with Skillset accreditation and/or industry approval. All subject strands are eligible, there are, however, skills areas which the Bursary Fund has prioritised: script writing/ screen writing, film and television production, CGI and animation.

Although the applicant must be from the South West, the actual course can be anywhere in the UK.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 29 August 2008 and awards will be announced by Friday 12 September 2008. South West Screen has the right to reasonably change/amend the procedure at any time.
