South West Screen is looking for bright new talent to join a unique training scheme for Digital Production Assistants. Next Generation will work with six of the region's most forward thinking TV and Digital Media companies to find, induct and train six promising new entrants with the right skills for an increasingly fast-paced digital production environment.
The 28-week scheme will consist of a two-week, expenses-paid induction - including professional short-course training - followed by a 26-week placement for which trainees will receive a weekly training bursary of £230. Upon completing Next Generation each trainee will receive individual advice and guidance to help them make the next move up the ladder.
Applicants must be over 18 and resident in the South West region at the time of application. The project aims to recruit male and female trainees from a range of ethnic and social backgrounds, who are willing to move around the region to take up their placement.
