South West Screen leads the way in delivering a unique blend of film-friendly services through a collaborative partnership with the region's local authorities.
Our film-friendly policy is backed by a comprehensive training programme designed to help local authority officers understand the needs of film-makers and enabling them to provide an efficient and well-informed service for productions shooting in the region.
The training is in two parts, an introductory seminar and a more intensive mentoring session tailored to the needs of individual authorities. Once they have completed the mentoring session, local authorities are awarded a kite mark identifying them as a 'film-friendly accredited authority'. So, wherever you see the logo below, you should be guaranteed a warm welcome!

The film-friendly training programme has been devised and delivered by Maggie Ainley of Bath Film Office and is supported by the South West Regional Development Agency and Bath & North East Somerset Council. For further information contact Maggie Ainley.
